The album topped Billboard’s chart and held a dominant presence for years, remaining on the U.S. charts for an astonishing 276 weeks until November 1965. Remarkably, it even overlapped with the film’s theatrical run for nine months, and its legacy continues to thrive in the age of streaming and vinyl revival.
